Has anyone done a dinner cruise for a reception? I think it's a really cool and unique idea, but I'm not sure how it would work out in reality. Would the food slide around the tables because of the movement of the boat? Would it smell okay, or stink like the mung that lives near the docks? I would like my reception to have a "party" feel, as opposed to a "stuffy proper" feel, and I think a dinner cruise may provide a nice atmosphere, but I'm not sure of the details... Any thoughts? |

RE : Has anyone done a dinner cruise for a reception?
Hi there! I went to one - second marriage. We cruised up & down the James River which by nature can have a smell. The wedding was performed on the boat and then a buffet type meal. It was great fun. A consideration is where are you cruising? Some people may get sea sick if you are out in the chesapeake. When in Annapolis, we saw a wedding party & quests board a sailing vessel. It was a lovely day in Annapolis - but what would have happened if it rained? Sounds like fun & worth investigating. |
