Well formed hexagonal Sapphire Crystal
Sapphire crystals are usually found in well formed hexagonal crystal prisms here in the sapphire mine. Some are so well formed that the local miners will always shout out "I got a Nut" upon unearthing new hexagonal sapphire rough stones. Here are some pictures on the hexagonal shape of the local sapphires. The first one is so well formed that we did a bit polish on all the six facets and it can be used on a pendant instantly. Alex |
