What stones do you like visually (color, texture, the stripes or patterns on them)? Have you used them for any spiritual or healing purposes? I'd be interested in your feedback. Thanks!

I'm reading 'The Curious Lore of Precious Gems' by G.F. Kunz. It's not new age, it's old age, and it goes into old lore and healing techniques, among lots of other things, from times of old. Pretty interesting reading.

I have a few stones on my mantle because I either like the shape or feel or colors. My current favorite is a piece of yellow citrine that has lots of interesting stuff going on inside.

was just going through the forum and found this interesting post...
I am a lot into astrology and stuff...and really do believe in it...
right not i am using yellow sapphire and pearl...
I would like to share with u guys an interesting thing i found...it is believed if you have sleeping disorders u shd use amethyst ..keep it under or near yur pillow...does wonders...
