I live in Northwest Arkansas and I need an appraiser to go to when I purchase a ring. I don't mind driving 3 or 4 hours, so does anyone have any ideas. Big cities like Tulsa, OK City, Little Rock would work great for me. Thanks.

I used Stanley's for my appraisal on my engagement ring. They were off by quite a bit on the carat weight of my stone.

They appraised it at .83 carat while a later appraisal put it at .58. I'm not sure about the exactness of that last number, but the jump from .8 to .5 is correct for sure.

I do have to give them some slack, though. The stone at that time was appraised while in what is essentially a bezel setting. I'm assuming that was enough to have thrown off the size estimate.

Isn't there someone in Fayetteville? I would think so, considering all the money that's being pumped into that area.
