We live 5 miles from MS on the TN side. I guess it's not the same though. |

DH and I moved from Long Beach (just west of Gulfport) to upstate NY last october, and I miss the coast sooooooo much, even though I have family here. We missed cruising the coast the weekend of oct. 4, I'd die for Vrazel's shrimp and heart of artichoke Teresa, and with winter and snow just around the corner I'm missing it even more. CnSpotts, I graduate in Dec. and am looking for jobs down that way. I'm not sure where along the border you are, but one of the jobs I'm applying to is in Olive Branch, MS just south of Memphis. |

TN/MS/AL
We are 90 miles east of Memphis. I understand that area of MS, Olive Branch is an up and coming area for northern MS. We have friends in Tupelo that are moving closer to OB they say it's a great location because of being nearer to Memphis which has much more to offer than where they/or we are now. My DH's family moved here about 4 years ago from NYC. They are all glad to be out of NY but there is so much that we all miss being down here in this particular area. Memphis is the closest larger city to us but it's far enough away that we don't enjoy making too many trips there often. The weather is pretty nice though, only really unbearably humid mid-summer for a few weeks then pretty nice the rest of the year. I miss the ocean too, spent many years in Cali, now I'm surrounded by woods! |
