Hi all, I was wondering whether there were any rules for bridesmaids and groomsmen being unmarried. In my culture and church, I have always seen them as unmarried. However, my fiance says that it doesnt matter. Could you help us out here? |

Hi Berry, I don't think it matters because I have heard of the title "Matron of Honor" designated to a married woman and a "Maid of Honor" for a single woman. I also know that a lot of men choose their fathers (whom are still married to the mother) to be their best man in the wedding party. This is what I know, but it would be interesting to find out other customs or traditions out there. -Kris |
