Re: Finally, my ring. Whaddya think?
Absolutely, as soon as I get it... |

Re: Finally, my ring. Whaddya think?
WOW!!! The revised (photoshopped) ring looks absolutely lovely. The diamond sits up nicely, but isn't "ridiculously" high. I think you and your fiance will be very happy if this change is made. I should think it would make the diamond much safer also...Congratulations! |

Re: Finally, my ring. Whaddya think?
I like the changed one much better. I would be afraid to wear the first one because it's way too high. |

Re: Finally, my ring. Whaddya think?
I'm glad you made the decision to lower those prongs. They looked very abnormally high. I do like the rest of the setting, though. |

Re: Finally, my ring. Whaddya think?
I think that's great too. I seriously would have worried about the diamond's safety with it sitting up that high. It will be a lot more comfortable to wear, and safer for the diamond with the prongs a bit lower. Please post some pics when it arrives! Amy

Re: Finally, my ring. Whaddya think?
OMG, the ring with the 2 "extra" pave diamond removed looks SO MUCH BETTER... I am glad that they are going to lower it for you. It would be great if they could get the cutlet of the diamond to sit so that there is just a small air-line above the shank of the ring. That way it will be completely exposed like your FFI wants, but still be low enough that it wont get hit on everything. That photoshop job was awesome, definitely the way the ring should really look. I am looking forward to seeing it lowered

Re: Finally, my ring. Whaddya think?
In my personal opinion, I don't like the before or after (photoshop) pic. I think it's too high even in the after pic. And the overall style is just.... But it's a personal opinion so asking us what we think it one thing, but you know your girlfriend the best and if this is something you think she may like, then I would go for it. |

My opinion
Is that it is too high to be practical in everyday life. Goodness! what is the point of placing a diamond 3 inches off your finger? Hope she never needs to wear gloves or god forbid works in the medical field cause latex gloves will never do over that effiel tower. |

Re: My opinion
It's doesn't sit up that high in the photoshopped pic! Oh, and she doesn't work in the med. field, and she's the one who wants the higher setting. Geesh. |

Yeah, kinda weird to be getting replies on the height when it's been stated that it's getting fixed. Speaking of, how's the process coming along? |

Re: My opinion
Quick update, the ring is almost finished. The diamond should be reset early next week. I'll be posting pics at that time. I'm kinda nervous... hopefully it all works out. I actually sent the photoshopped pic to them as well. Thanks again to whomever did that - cant remember. |

Well everyone, I have some (somewhat) disheartening news. Long story short, I am not going with that setting anymore. I don't want to get into it, but the vendor has credited my money back and I am back to choosing another setting. I'm perfectly fine with this and am excited that I can choose another. I've been looking at the following: Scott Kay - http://store.jrdunn.com/PhotoGaller...r=2#largerphoto John Atencio (very unique) http://www.johnatencio.com/johnaten...TTD4PP4F02WBWA9 http://www.johnatencio.com/johnaten...TTD4PP4F02WBWA9 Elma Gil Bridal Has anyone seen the John Atencio's before? Thoughts on the others??? |

Wow! If you ever feel like getting in to it -- inquiring minds want to know! I'm sorry, but I really don't care for those John Atencio rings at all and I've never been a huge Scott Kay fan either. Have you considered getting your setting from WF too? It's kind of nice to get the diamond and setting from the same place. Or, have you checked out Knox's website? They have a huge selection of settings... http://www.knoxjewelers.biz/ |

Really?! Have you seen the John Atencio's in person by chance? Just curious. I'm not a huge fan of the WF settings - I kind of want something truly unique and I feel somewhat obliged to buy from the vendor I'm working with as they have been truly great to deal with. Have you checked out the Elma Gil settings? |
