I like quartz. It's available in beautiful crystals at modest prices in a variety of colors. Unfortunately, I don't have any. I had a piece of a bluish piezo-electic quartz which had some gold in it. I bought it a long time ago and cannot find it since we moved.

I don't have a telescope, but it's something I'm thinking of looking into.

I collect various crystals as well, but treasure one given me by a Creek Indian friend. It's a tiny perfect crystal, and now resides in my (g.g.g.g. grandfather's) medicine bag.

I always was more interested in mineral behaviour (exolution, order/disorder, strain) than minerals per se
but i always stayed to my old love azurite/malachite intergrowth.

A favorite, wow. Never thought of it.
I am a rock collecter from the age of 5.
Weather it be diamonds or quartz, I love them all) Faceted , rough, (only polished I don't like) .

Give me rocks and more rocks) I will not forget, I was moving once, the moving guy picked up one of my boxes and asked, "shes, got a bunch of rocks in here" . I answered, "As a matter of fact , Yes " .

I just love gemstones crystals and especially spinels, rubies and sapphires and diamonds...
Among them I really love unusual spinel crystals as macles or twins.
But also I like nice chrysoberyls, tourmalines, peridots, topaz, danburite, quartz and even iron ores!
do you want to have a look on what I like?

peacock ore. i don't know what it is, and i don't think it really counts as a mineral, but i love it. i've loved geology and especially minerals since i was a kid, i think it mostly gets channeled into jewelry now.
