Thank you :-) I much prefer platinum, but the ring seemed like it was meant to be with the other one. I recently had its prongs retipped--that is one of the reasons I prefer platinum--the tips wear down very much slower.

Here's mine: .71 center and the guard is 1/4.....I'm getting ready to upgrade to a 1 carat center stone :-)

Here's mine ~

.88 RB, E, SI1, Ideal Cut, in an 18K yellow gold setting by Liz C. It's like a smaller version of D. Vatche's Royal Crown. I love it!

My wedding band used to be 4mm, much flatter, and milgrained. I had it melted down and recast to 2.5mm and rather high and rounder-looking. Goes great with my new diamond ring!

Here's my latest set - my original band re-made into a 4mm heavy round comfort-fit band, with my .88 E SI1, ideal cut in an 18K Littman's Sitara solitaire. I love the classic simplicity of this set.

I did so much like my last set. But I often felt it was too delicate for my large hands, thus the changes. I still have that royal-crown style setting, possibly in waiting for one of my daughters. They have smaller hands and have admired that ring.
