That is the ultra-rare Sacred California Meteorite. It has been blessed by Al Sharpton and is therefore priceless.

You should donate it to the Smithsonian when President Sharpton is elected.

Don't pay any attention to that drunken bum, Crazy Looie.

I'd suggest taking the meteorite to the Geology department of a local university to see if they can give you any feedback as to its composition, what use it could have, and what value it holds, and to whom.

I don't have a telescope, but it's something I'm thinking of looking into.

Jonathantoo,

There is a very brisk business in meteorites and some of the rare types bring high prices. As usual Rodentman has a great suggestion. But you might also want to check with a real meteorite expert like Michael Blood in San Diego. His url is: http://www.michaelbloodmeteorite s.com/

Be a little cagey with the dealers and if they give you an offer be sure of your ground by checking with more than one. I've worked with Michael a couple of times and know he's honest -- but a deal is a deal. The business is very competitive. Also, if it's a desirable type, museums often have budgets to buy things like that. So check it out thoroughly and don't quickly accept the first offer.

There are a number of other dealers. PM me if you need the names of a few more.
