Yep, you gotta do that after scoring a SS Rolex Daytona! Not the best watch in the world of course, but the one in the greatest demand. Waiting lists, if anyone keeps them, can be years. Most dealers get only 1 or 2 a year. Dealer can't simply order them and get them.

People buy them new, as did I, and flip them on ebay for $9-$10K making $3-$4k quick profit. My dealer will sell to only people he knows and never puts these items in the showcase. They sell immediately.

The dial is just black, nothing special. They make other dials, but this watch is best left as is. It has been in high demand for years with no sign of that abating. I was indeed lucky to get one and am quite happy with it.

Congratulations rodentman on your new "trinket". It's a beautiful watch and I'm sure if anyone would enjoy it, it would be you! Now hop up on that wagon and be a good rodent for a bit!

BTW, could you please tell all your quirrel friends and family to stay out of the roads around my house. It seems that lately, they are all hell bent on running out in front of my car! I'm gonna end up in the ditch trying to avoid hitting our furry friends. Thanks!
