dogbert.....

I think you must be right. I feel a bit like the new kid in the school yard at recess time. It really wasn't as big of a deal as its got blown up to be.

Ex-Tiffany Employe...I apologize but I forgot the question in all of the hoopla. Please ask again and I will try to provide an answer if possible.

RocDoc......glad to have a friendly face finally. But to be honest with you, its this new way of having to overanalyze diamond proportioning that is becoming history. Customers are getting tired of the kinds of debates we just had here, and are going back to the jewelers who sell romance and beauty. The display that everyone seems to think is an abomination to God that I presented is all that most customers want to know. And they want a jeweler who will make sure that they are getting a good diamond for their money.

Whoever said "let's line up 4 diamonds and pick the prettiest" has the right idea. The battle over critical angles and crown percentages is beyond most customers range of concerns. If the diamond is pretty and if they can afford it is where more are.

And the jewelers who are selling by that method are doing a good business.

I think all the others are here on Diamond Talk.

Just my opinion. But I hope you are doing well. We are waiting for the phone call to come in....we are adopting a baby sometime in the next couple of weeks. So the anticipation after 8 years of adoption and invitro efforts might finally pay off.

So, thanks for the welcome. I will try to pick my topics carefully until my initiation is over.

Best,
YourGemologist
