One of my bridesmaids wants to throw me a shower for the out of town guests. That's fine with me because my Fiance's family is all from the midwest and won't be able to attend any of my showers so she came up with a neat idea that I wasn't sure about so I decided to post to get some feedback about it. She wants to do an "out of town shower" and she thought she'd send out invitations and "invite" them to share in a shower with all the rest of the out of towners and have them send a gift or whatever to her and then at some point some of the girls in the wedding would get together with me and we'd open the gifts...what do you all think about that idea. I thought it was cute and unique because I have 250 people attending the wedding and about 175 are from far enough away that they wouldn't be able to attend a shower.
