What type of jewelry is at the end of a hollow needle?
I was just curious if they put a "special" ring at the end of a hollow needle when they pull it through your skin, or if they just us a regular piece of jewelry. It seems like they'd have to use a piece of jewelry made for first-time piercings to fit on to the needle, or does it not work that way? I'm just curious! All answers are appreciated.

I got confused by your wording so I'm making the assumption this answer will work. Most piercings in the ears for example are done with a special device that works similarly like a staple or nail gun. * The stud/earring is put into the gun, * the ear is marked, * the device lined up over the mark, * and the trigger pulled--leaving a stud in the ear. Voila!! :bigclap: |

When you get a piercing done with a needle there's no jewellery at the end. They clamp the area (if appropriate) and make the hole. Then they put the jewellery through afterwards. Ears it's typically a pair of studs or sleepers, but elsewhere it will usually be a ball capture ring or a barbell (I like a ring because it allows you to clean the piercing easier and apply any creams if necessary)
Hope that helps! |
