The Secret in the Stone
 

This opal is what is called a "Contra-Luz" opal and show a play of color when light shines through the stone, rather than when light shines directly on it's surface. This gives this opal a shimmering golden hue when worn close, but when held up into the light it's secret is revealed...a bright shimmering rainbow within the stone. Perfect for a simple pendant ! This stone weighs 3.17 carats and measures 10mm across.
