I would suggest calling a number of local jewelers and ask this question. At least a few will undoubtedly know someone who may be able to help you. You really need to find a gemologist/appraiser, as there are many pitfalls in doing this for someone with no knowledge or background in gems. Best of luck!

Hi & welcome.

If you are considering doing this and you do not care about the money involved... then fine.

However, if you are doing this with a hope of getting a return on your money, forget it and spend the money on lottery tickets instead as lottery tickets will probably have a higher return on investment.

You have got to be kidding!

Whatever were you thinking of doing with these emeralds anyway? Raw emeralds have to be cut and set, and that costs plenty.

By the way, Michael, how are things going?
