old european pentant and ring. age / price ?
I've inherited some antique jewellery. To my suprose i found a set of a pentant and a ring, both with diamonds. They are pear shaped and about 2 carat each (not counting the other diamonds around the big one.)
I don't know how my grandmother got these, maybe they were already in the family. Does anyone know from what period these jewels are, and what they are worth ??

What an amazing suite of jewelry! These appear to be a matched set, and probably from the late Georgian, or early Victorian eras (late 1800s - early 1900's). Are the two pear-shaped diamonds flat on the reverse? If so, these are pear-shaped rose cut diamonds. The smaller ones look to be either rose, or native-cut (hard to tell for sure by the picture).
If you were to take these to auction, you could probably get an estimate as a set of $3,000 - $5,000 - a lot depending on condition, quality of diamonds, etc.
Hope this helps!
